I just found out that a friend’s cancer has spread for the 3rd time. At this point, more tests are needed before a treatment plan can be determined. I ask that you pray for my friend. Here’s a couple of verses I shared online today. My friend likes these verses.

Psalms 62:5-6
Rest in God alone, my soul, for my hope comes from Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I will not be shaken.

Thank you, Lord, for these promises you give us. Be with my friend as more tests are performed.

Last weekend, I ran another 5k. I had leg cramps and had to walk at least a mile. I was able to run again starting at mile 2. I finished in 42:41, I think. It wasn’t my best time, but I was pleased.

In the last two weeks, I’ve had two runs that were 4.3 miles. Yep. Two runs. I started both runs with the idea of running about 20-30 mins & ended up running for an hour.

Think about that. Running for 50 mins and walking for 10 mins for a total of an hour! I just started my Couch to 5k program just 15 weeks ago. I’m so amazed and surprised that I’ve been able to do this!

Since I’m at the appropriate age, I had a colonoscopy abut 10 days ago. As everyone says, the prep is THE WORST PART. The procedure itself was easy enough even with the IV. (I hate IVs and needles in general.) Thank goodness that’s over and done.

Busy with the family this weekend. My niece is here with us. She’s grown so much in six months. She is a sweet, beautiful girl. I’m so glad she’s able to join us this weekend.

Hope everyone has a good weekend! Get out and enjoy it!
